Day 1

Today, when we got on the bus, I was amazed: the bus had handrests, two inbuilt TV screens, (synthetic) leather seats, and luggage compartments. At 9:40, we got on the M2, and at 10:05, we put on Ratatouille.
At 12:00, (just after Ratatouille had finished),we saw the beaches of Bombo, but then we went inland and did not see Kiama. But we did see Gerringong.
Either side of the highway were green pastures full of cows and horses.
At 12:20, we stopped for a lunch break in Berry, and at 13:00, we got back on the bus.

Smiles all around

Next stop: Mogo.
On the bus, we started watching E.T., but paused it at 14:15. It was hilarious: Mrs Bryce paused it just as the subtitle read s***. Then me, Alex, Niklas, Felix, and Lucas played Exploding Kittens until we arrived at Mogo Zoo.
At the zoo, I first of all bought a pencil and a tiger toy. Outside the shop were the meerkats. We walked on, past the small primates, to the deer, who we fed with the small pellets scattered on the ground there. Next to the deer were the giraffes, the zebras, and the ostriches. At the ostriches, the keepers had just collected an egg; they let us all hold it. Then we saw the rare white lion and its mate, past which was the gibbon, who showed us his acrobatics and then peed in the water around his island. Back at the entry to the zoo, I found the snow leopard and the tiger. And just as I was leaving, I saw a small gibbon handling a stick with (almost) expert ease.

Danger indeed

Our family

When we arrived at 'The Original Gold Mining Town' (where we were staying), we were introduced to our cabins. I was in Cabin Two with Felix, Koby, Noah, Niklas, Jarvis and Matthew, and also six others I didn't know. This is what it looked like:

Then we had dinner. It was peas, mashed potatoes, and chicken schnitzel with gravy.
After that, we cleared the tables away and learned some bush dances.
Then we went outside, to the fire pit. There we were greeted by an Aborigine, who taught us about indigenous customs, and how to live off the land. Then we had supper which was milk and cookies, and went to bed.
